Piano Prices

If you consider investing your money in purchasing a piano, it is important that you carefully examine your budget for the instrument.

In this article, I will guide you in evaluating piano prices so that you can budget your money wisely before purchasing the right piano. I will present piano prices in ascending degree. This means that I will start on presenting piano prices from $500 to $10,000 and up.

First, pianos under $500 requires luck in finding an instrument that is in good condition and usable. What you need to do is careful research before you consider buying these cheap grand pianos. If you want, you can first ask a piano technician to examine the product before deciding whether to purchase the piano. This is important so that quality is not compromised by buying junk yet cheap product.

Piano prices under $1,500 can make you find a reconditioned instrument from a dealer, which means that it is overhauled inside and made over. Just make sure that you make deal with a reliable dealer. Be sure that the piano case is polished well and that you are given enough warranty for the product. Same with my other advice, it is best that you are guided by a piano technician in ensuring that the choice is of good quality.

For piano prices under $3,000, you can get fairly decent piano instrument with the price. You should be able to find studio upright piano considering the price. Brands like Kawai, Young Chang, Sammick, and Sohmer should be under this price range. You must consider that these pianos should not be older than mid-19780s for these brands.

Realistic piano playing can be achieved with a budget of $3,500-$4,000 for advanced students. Surely, you can get Yamaha or Kawai brands of 48 in. to 15 in. upright pianos. You can look for piano makers such as Charles Walter and Sons that sells high quality upright piano within this price range. Surely, an expert technician should be able to recognize the quality of these piano brands. For $4,500 - $5,500 piano prices, you can get newer models of piano from the 90's. You can get a Yamaha with superior design that features rich sounds.

Lastly, if you consider $15,000 - $20,000 piano prices, then you can purchase a Steinway or Kawaii piano. These concert grand pianos should be the best you can find in the market. It is economical that you buy a fully furnished piano considering the price. All these advices should tell you to stick to your budget in purchasing your desired piano.
Good luck in finding the right piano at the right price!

My grandma is offering me a FREE piano! But I have no where to put it?

My grandma is offering me her old Sohmer piano that she cannot stand to have sitting in her house anymore. It is the kind that rests against the wall, not the baby grand with the open lid. But my parents refuse to have it anywhere in the house because it won't fit anywhere. The only place it could go is in our finished basement, that is right near a wood burning stove. (gas furnace is in the next room over). I've read that basements and heated areas are horrible for pianos, but there's no other place to possibly put the thing. I am at a loss of what to do, because I would kill to have a piano in my house where I could play it whenever I want. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

That's awesome.

My Grandma gave me her "Phantom x7 Keyboard" a few months ago after hearing me play a few tunes on it.. She said "I have a lot of talent" haha

If I were you I would ask that your Grandmother kept it at her house for a little while longer until you figure out where to put the piano. Just ask your parents to compromise with you and take things from there.
