For long, Casio pianos have been thought of as a brand that does not make pianos meant for experts and accomplished piano players. Casio has successfully managed to cater to piano players with different skills and experiences, with the introduction of Privia and the Celviano pianos. Which digital piano is the better choice?

Which is better? Yamaha Arius YDP140 or Casio Celviano AP200. I will be using it for personal use to play classics, hymns, and modern worship music. While having more bells and whistles make it more fun, if I have to choose, I would rather have one with better touch and the most acoustic-like sound with no extras.

They both have piano-like feel: touch sensitive and graded-hammer action. That's what you are paying for mainly, and that's a must for piano. The Yamaha may have the edge there. For organ, harpsichord voices, you don't even want that though, so you can get by with a regular keyboard. As for the sounds, you will have to try them out if you are spending this much. Neither of them come with that many different sounds. The piano sound on the Yamaha digitals is the best in my opinion. It sounds somehow better than any real piano, without sounding phoney. I also like some of the organ sounds on the Yamahas, but not the harpsichord tone. It comes w/ headphones too, and the sound will be better than through the speakers included.
